Founder & Lead Consultant
Major (Rtd) Lawrence Ken Mukira 'SS' [MA, CSMP®, M.ISMI®, SAS®, SRMP-R]
Major (Rtd) Lawrence Ken Githaiga Mukira 'SS' is a highly accomplished security professional with over 16 years of military service as well as experience in international peacekeeping and development security. He has most recently served as the Partner Liaison Security Specialist at USAID Kenya and East Africa, where he played a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of development projects, personnel, and assets in volatile environments.
Throughout his security career, Major (Rtd) Mukira held leadership roles in operational security and crisis management, excelling in areas such as counter-terrorism and security coordination. He also served in prominent international peacekeeping missions under AMISOM (Somalia) and MONUSCO (DRC). His expertise in peacekeeping, security assessments, and risk mitigation has been instrumental in ensuring the success of numerous operations in challenging environments.
Major (Rtd) Mukira is a Certified Security Management Professional (CSMP®), accredited by the International Security Management Institute (ISMI), and a Situational Awareness Specialist (SAS®), certified by the Arcuri Group LLC. These advanced credentials, coupled with his military experience, make him an expert in high-risk security environments. He also holds a Master of Arts degree in Intelligence and Security from the University of Leicester.
His remarkable service has earned him the Silver Star of Kenya ('SS'), awarded for his valour in combat, recognizing his exceptional courage and leadership in the field.

Samuel M. Githaiga OGW, HSC
Mr. Samuel M. Githaiga has been active in the field of training for more than 30 years, both locally and internationally. He has worked in different levels and capacities of training programmes’ management and training institutional administration rising through the career ladder from a school Teacher/Headmaster to Director of the Government Training Institutes (Currently Kenya Schools of Government) Matuga (2006-2007) and Mombasa (2007 -2008).
Mr. Githaiga holds a BSc (Marketing and Management) from Montclair State College, New Jersey, USA; an MBA (Management) from Central State University, Oklahoma, USA; and a Training of Trainers Diploma from INTAN Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. He has received several certificates from many reputable global institutions like Civil Service College, Singapore; Galilee College in Israel; The Golda Meir Mount Carmel International Training Centre, Haifa, in Israel; International Union of Local Authorities (IULA) in the Hague, the Netherlands; Computer Institute New Delhi, India; ILO Italy; Sinaia Romania; Ghana Institute of Management and Administration (GIMPA); ESAMI, Arusha in Tanzania; Manchester University in UK; and University of Witwatersrand in SA.
Mr. Githaiga has carried out training, research and consultancy assignments in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, South Africa, Mozambique, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Ghana, Egypt, The Netherlands, West Berlin, Germany, Hungary and Finland.
His areas of specialization include decentralization, local/county government management, human resource management, local elected leadership, local economic development, urban management and sustainable environmental management, and project cycle management.
Over his long training career, Mr. Githaiga has published several academic reports, consultancy reports, articles and books – mainly in the areas of leadership and management.
Mr. Githaiga is a recipient of two Presidential Awards (HSC in 2001 and OGW in 2007), in recognition of his immense contribution to human resource development in Kenya and other African countries.

Chief Training Consultant
Major (Rtd) Evans Kiplagat [MA, CSMP®, M.ISMI®]
Major (Rtd) Evans Kiplagat is an accomplished security and intelligence professional with over 16 years of operational and instructional experience. He currently serves as the Country Manager and Head of Recruitment & Training for GardaWorld Federal Services in Kenya, supporting armed guarding operations for the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq.
Evans brings a deep understanding of military intelligence, risk management, and international security cooperation. He served in various leadership roles including Infantry Officer, Intelligence Officer, and Senior Instructor at the Defence Intelligence Academy - Kenya, where he trained personnel from over 30 African countries and supported UN-led missions in Somalia and Mali.
Evans holds a Master of Arts degree in Security Management, a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Physics, and is a Certified Security Management Professional (ISMI, UK). He is recognized for his ability to build effective security teams, lead with integrity, and implement mission-critical training and operational standards.

Governance & Legal Advisor
Theresia Gathoni Gaita [MBA, CS, LLB, KSL, CPM (MTI)]
Ms. Theresia Gathoni Gaita is an extensively accomplished legal and governance professional possessing over a decade of experience in corporate law, regulatory compliance, and strategic management. Holding a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of Nairobi, she is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, having completed her professional training at the Kenya School of Law (KSL).
She is a duly qualified Company Secretary, a certified Governance Auditor, a Professional Mediator, and an Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Specialist. Furthermore, she holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Strategic Management, which equips her with a thorough comprehension of corporate strategy, organizational leadership, and sustainable business development.
Theresia has rendered legal and governance expertise to an array of prominent organizations, including Manrik Group of Companies, Industrial Promotion Services (Kenya) Limited – a subsidiary of the Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development (AKFED) – and d.light Design Inc. Her professional engagements have encompassed board advisory, corporate governance, statutory compliance, ESG integration, and regulatory alignment.

Cybersecurity Lead
John Bosco Gachoya
Mr. John Bosco Gachoya is a cybersecurity expert and Information Systems Auditor with over 5 years of hands-on experience safeguarding IT infrastructure, driving compliance initiatives, and leading cyber risk management across both public and private sectors. At The Four One Eighty Five Consultancy, he spearheads cybersecurity strategy, governance, and innovation, bringing deep expertise in IT audits, penetration testing, cloud security, and regulatory compliance frameworks including ISO 27001, SOX, and NIST.
John holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and is currently pursuing an MBA in Information Systems. He is also actively working toward industry-recognized certifications such as CISA and CISSP. Known for his strategic mindset, technical acumen, and collaborative leadership style, John has played a critical role in implementing resilient security infrastructures, enhancing digital trust, and achieving international benchmarks.
